EDUCATION
I graduated from Kent State University as an online graduate student. The graduate degree is Master of Science in Information Architecture and Knowledge Management (IAKM), which resides in the School of Library and Information Science. The concentration is User Experience Design.
The program focuses on human-centered thinking, design, and information architecture which addresses the structural, informational, psychological and emotional aspects of what makes a successful user interface or product. My portfolio includes a broad range of research methods, usability tests, consulting, brand management, and creative direction.
BACKGROUND
After receiving a BFA in Digital Media from Missouri State University, I moved to Los Angeles to intern at the American Film Institute. My career track started off with Creative Services, focusing on creating content for branded content, motion design, video production, and 3D animation. I joined the cable industry after my 10-year career in TV News. My broadcast background includes a variety of organizations, such as HGTV, DIY, GAC, Food Network and Travel Channel, FOX, ABC, and CBS.
Over the years, I’ve been the recipient of several honors and awards, including an Emmy Award and Nomination, three Telly Awards, and an Addy Award.
